The City of Livingston created the Myers’ River View Trail along an area that was annexed into the city along the Yellowstone River. The one-mile trail is frequently used and features many natural additions. The Kodak Company awarded funding to purchase local nature signs that highlight what types of native animals you will find along the trail. The Artemis Institute developed hidden land features such as benches made from reclaimed barn wood hidden amongst trees; wind flutes cut from reclaimed pipes installed along the trail; and, naturally cut out resting areas in the landscape. The Recreational Trails Program donated funding for the trail amenities and gravel. The city donated in-kind employee hours and equipment use to develop this beautiful trail. The project cost (not including in-kind work) was $34,500.
